I just got rejected. T.T

I got rejected in a job application process. I already passed the examination and series of interviews. I thought I will be able to start in November 16 but when they knew that I have asthma, they no longer contacted me. They told me that they will make contact with the management and the clinic and they will set me for a new set of interviews. It is so discouraging since I already prepared and anticipated for this. I like the people there especially in the HR Department. This was supposed to be my first job. I just hate having this asthma. Anyways, there are a lot of jobs out there. I just have to wait and have patience.

What position are you applying for? You can have them reported to DOLE for discriminating you because of your condition.

Electrical Engineer Position. No, I don't have to report them. They told me that they will still talk to the management and the clinic for my case. I think they just want to prevent me from an asthma attack.I was discouraged and sad because I like the people there. They are so easy to get along with and they are fun to be with, especially in the HR Department. So, until now, I'm hoping that they will text or call me. Thank you for showing your concern. I appreciate that @cherriefic. :)

That sounds like discrimination. What kind of job is it? And do you have to disclose you have asthma?

As an electrical engineer. Yes, I had to tell during the medical exam. I just knew that I should tell and not lie when I was asked. Anyways, a better job is on its way, I hope.

Yeah. There is but the clinic was strict to rules since they think that my asthma might be triggered to the nature of work. Well I guess they are just worried to the health of their employees.

Don't let rejection bring you down, learn from Jack Ma, the owner of Alibaba and the richest man in China, try to search his story and how many times he was rejected.

Rejection may come more than once. Don't be discouraged. You will certainly land a job. Meanwhile taking care of the asthma will be a good idea.

If you have asthma and I have a kidney failure, but I don't take it as a failure instead I think about it as my inspiration to live. Though there are times I feel so lost and blue it's just a feeling and it will not last long. And it did not stop me from applying for an online job, home-based.

I also have asthma. It was bad when I was in school, and it was undiagnosed. In gym we would have to run and I always had difficulty breathing when we ran. Is your asthma controlled well with your medication? I would think that a job as an electrical engineer wouldn't be apt to trigger asthma attacks. As the others have said, there is a far better job coming your way since this oone didn't work out. Keep a positive thought and it will bring positive things your way.
