I finished listening to Max by James Patterson. It is the fifth book of the Maximum Ride book series. There are nine books in the book series. In this book, Max and the other bird kids join a movement that wants to stop pollution from happening. They mainly join because of Max's mother is part of the movement. The other bird kids convince Max to join a special school. Max didn't want to, but they went anyway. Then Max gets kidnapped by a Chinese man. He threatens that if she don't stop being part of the movement that he will find a way to make her. He kidnaps Max's mother. Max and the bird kids asks the Navy for help to find her. Scientists working for the movement also were trying find out why some fish were getting eaten. Max and the bird kids find out sea monsters were killing the fish and wrecking boats. They think radiation was the cause of the sea monsters. The radiation was caused by a dumping of waste from the Chinese man. The sea monster did help save Max's mother. I sorta liked this book. Now I'm listening to Brother Odd by Dean Koontz. It is the third book of the Odd Thomas book series.
