My Unofficial Word of the Day : Cereology

We all try to improve our vocabulary no matter what language. If you're like me, you might subscribe to a daily newsletter that supplies a new word. I subscribe to a publication called STANDS4. Most of the time I already know their Word of the Day. But every once in a while they send me one that I don't know. It's funny when you see a word, you immediately think of a definition for it before you learn what the word really means. That's what I did with this word: CEREOLOGY. Hey! I'm smart! I know that “OLOGY” on the end of a word means “the study of” something! But?? The study of cereal?? cereology (Noun) ~ The investigation of or practice of creating crop circles. Well! Cereal is made from crops. I mean … I was close!
Maybe this word isn't new to you. But I never heard it before. Earworm. Definition? One of those songs that crawls into your ear, gets stuck in...

My first thought was something to do with cereal but crop circles is not too far off.

I personally think that the study of cereals is a better meaning that the study of crop circles!

At first I found it was the science of cereals. Thank you anyway for teaching me a word. CEREOLOGY, I won't forget it.
