Warm Before The Storm

Before I stepped foot outside I baked two cakes, and made two huge pots of veggie soup to can, next was peeling the rest of the 10 pound bag of potatoes, I got a pot waiting to be canned. I am taking advantage of being alone because Tony does not breath well when I am cooking like this, I can open the doors. That is what I did till I seen a fly in the house, I don`t do flies! I had to take advantage of the warm day and get things fixed for the dogs. I put up a fence behind the electric fence so that the dogs would not just walk into the electric part. Tony came home after I got it fixed and I tried it out, Harley ran straight to the pasture side to find an opening big enough to escape, he got bit by the fence and stopped, once was enough for him. Roscoe tried to get out the gate, got bit and walked over to the corner stood on the back fence and jumped over. I cut it off and leashed Harley, Tony got the wire and added another level higher than the fence. While he was doing that I was getting a five gallon bucket of water ( Roscoe is big and drinks a lot) and their dog food. Both happy for dinner and I turned Harley loose and came inside. Both dogs are still in the back yard! I have the last of the veggie soup in the pressure canner, I need a bath and I think I will go shopping tonight, The dogs need food and I have a $5 coupon for Dollar General. How was your day?
