A Busy Week Ahead

Happy Monday Everyone! As we head into Thanksgiving week here I have a busy week ahead. First: my Aunt and Uncle are heading to Florida where they spend the winter. As they make their way from upstate New York they stop here at my house for an overnight which will be Wednesday. As much as I like to see them coming the day before Thanksgiving is always stressful. The on Thanksgiving morning they head out and do Thanksgiving with their son and family in Maryland. From there they continue on to Florida by Amtrack and I won't see them again until spring. Over the weekend my daughter and I cleaned the windows and hung the new curtains in the living room. I got pretty turquoise ones and they certainly make the room pop and it looks entirely different. Now that it's done we can put up the Christmas tree this coming weekend. We got a new tree and some new ornaments and I'm excited to get it up and all decorated. I ordered some outside solar decorations for my porch but they won't arrive until the end of the month so our outside will have to wait. I was hoping to get it done this weekend before the weather changes and it's too cold or snowy. But, back to this week. I'll be going to my daughters for Thanksgiving and it will be nice to have dinner cooked and not have the hassle of doing the holiday at my house. Christmas is always here so thinking of a menu drives me crazy. I'm always looking for the perfect buffet type menu and what sounds good now is usually too much work as it gets closer and I have to scale it down a bit. Today is the only day I have without something that "has" to be done this week. I'm going to do my best to catch up here but that could be my "famous last words" Hope everyone is having a good day.

I need to think about getting our decorations down too. I haven't given Christmas much thought yet.

Holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas are always busy for our family. Fortunately, we do not have to worry about guests spending the night. On Thanksgiving day we are going to my parent's house first and then off to the In-laws later that day. My older kids will meet us at my parent's house with the grandbabies. I cannot wait to see everyone!

It sounds like your week began in a busy way. I had a really busy day at work today, but tomorrow I'll enjoy a day off. I have a bit of running around to do in the morning. I don't think it will be a day of "rest" like it should be. Oh well, there's always next week.

My day is over. No Thanksgiving here and no more holidays for me until next year. But I do have a lot of work to catch up o the PC. I keep busy and hoping to be able to self-publish an e-book of my poems so that will give me a lot of work to do. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.
