No More Frisking.

Ever since I had my hip replaced a couple of years ago I've suffered the indignity of being manually frisked every time I've gone through an airport. The metal in the false hip sets off the alarms. I flew to Spain a couple of days ago, and thank goodness that has all changed. Now when the alarm sounds, they put you in a circular glass booth and scan you in there. I had to stand with my arms and legs akimbo, but that was no bother - infinitely better than being prodded and poked by an airport official. So that was a good start to my holiday, I'm a happy bunny. Photo is mine - the beach here in Spain.

For some reason I nearly always set those things off and, as far as I'm aware, I have no replacement parts. Nice pic. Wish I were there.

@WorDazza Well when you set it off next time you won't get poked about. Yes, it's lovely here Dazza - we're here for a month, home on the 19th December.

@WorDazza That's exactly why we don't have a dog now, much as we love them.

Beautiful shot. I'm so glad I don't fly, lord only knows if I'd set the silly thing off. Of course if it were Tom Selleck as security I wouldn't mind being frisked

@BelleStarr Yup, it's a great improvement on being groped. The beach here is lovely - it must be two miles long so there's always lots of room on it, at this time of year anyway.

I have always disliked that being frisked and at one Airport the guy was being overzealous just a bit and another guy told him off. I thought nothing of it really but I did not like it either. The guy was only trying to stick up for me. Great idea about the Booth I knew they had one in other Airports around the World but I really don´t like airports that much now.

@jaboUK So I am not the only one then. There was a time when it was fun to fly and go on holidays by plane. They have turned it into I don´t know what. I mean if I had to fly I would but I avoid it like the plague.

I suspect a lot of people will be disappointed to find out they will no longer be frisked. To some, that would be the hilight of the flight.
