I’m Back, Fellow MyLotters!
November 27, 2017 2:25pm CST
I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving break. I’ve been on here going through my notifications, but I haven’t actually posted. My break was full of celebrating, shopping and sleeping haha. Thursday - Happy Thanksgiving lol! ;) I got up a little after 9am to watch the parade in the living room with my nieces. I wound up dozing off here and there since I was stupid enough to stay up late the night before. My little niece woke me up to see 98 Degrees perform, so that was cool of her. :) I dozed back off for a short while after the parade, and then I finally pulled myself off the couch to go shower. That woke me up for a bit lol. We ate together a few hours later while listening to Christmas music. I wound up falling back to sleep on the couch, but I ran to the store so that nap was short-lived. I had some pumpkin pie and fell asleep for several hours once I got home lol. We don’t really go to anyone’s home (or vice versa) for Thanksgiving. That’s more of a Christmas thing with my family. Plus some of them work that night or the next morning. So we basically just celebrate as a household. Friday - Aaah, Black Friday. I got up and worked on a few short writing orders before going out with my best friend. We hit up the mall and Walmart, and I can’t remember if we went anywhere else. The stores were a little hot and crowded, but oh well, welcome to shopping on Black Friday. No mobs or fighting or anything like that; I stay away from that stuff anyways. We also go out in the afternoon/evening for stuff. Once she dropped me off, I ate and watched Frosty (what I didn’t miss of it) and Frosty Returns. I made a hot chocolate, put on The Muppet Christmas Carol and finished the rest of the short orders for a specific writing team. Saturday - I meant to do work on Saturday, but I never got around to it. I think after being up late to work on orders all week, celebrating Thanksgiving and then shopping the day before… I was due for a lazy day. I did put on a Smurfs Christmas DVD, make a hot chocolate and work on my Christmas cards. I also ordered something for my brother-in-law because I wanted to catch it while it was still on sale. Sunday - I went to storage with my brother-in-law and nephew, as we needed to drop off a few things. I grabbed a few pieces of clothing and DVDs, including my “A Charlie Brown Christmas” DVD lol. :D Shortly after we got home, I started working on a few writing orders. There may be more authors checking out the work now that the Thanksgiving break is basically over, so I wanted to get ahead by starting a day early. I’m also trying to make this payday a good one. When I was finished, I continued with my Christmas cards. All I did was address them, but at least that’s out of the way lol. I went to bed when I was finished with the cards. And now we fast forward to Monday, and I’m getting ready to start on my work. I may or may not be able to watch my WWE shows live this week due to personal reasons, but I can catch them on Hulu the day after they air. We’ll see what happens. Oh, and the gift I ordered for my brother-in-law on Saturday night came today. I love Amazon Prime. :) Alrighty, I hope the upcoming week is good to all of you. I’m going to wrap this up, but I’ll be back later for the Gratitude Challenge. Take care, everyone. :) Photo Credit: Pixabay.

Thanks! Yeah it was busy, and I stayed up late Mon. - Wed. just to get enough work done, so I think it all finally caught up with me. We have them on DVD, but I wonder if another channel (local or FreeForm) is going to play them? They usually do.

I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving. That makes me happy. I don't know who 98 Degrees is. I watched the Parade on Friday as I put it on DVR since I knew I wouldn't be there to watch it. I bought my Christmas cards this morning, so I'll be doing those soon. You had a busy week, and I hope you got to watch WWE yesterday.

Thanks! 98 Degrees is another boy band I listened to in my teenage years. I grew up listening to NKOTB, and 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees (and maybe others but those were the main ones) were eventually added to the list. When I saw NKOTB the first time at the Mixtape Festival, I also saw 98 Degrees (and this other boy band, O Town, but I only know a few songs by them to be honest). Did you enjoy the parade? I may just finish up my cards tomorrow, since all I'm doing work-wise is proofreading/submitting an order that's due on Monday. Thanks! Yeah I was able to catch my WWE shows after all.

@tammys85 Yes, I enjoyed the parade, not all the singers, most of whom I had never heard of before, and after hearing them, thought that was a good thing. Not a fan of most of them. I love the balloons the most, floats and marching bands. They had some great floats this year. Next up Rose Parade.

@just4him I'm glad you enjoyed it for the most part. :) Of course I enjoyed 98 Degrees lol. But I dozed off through some of the parade. I enjoy the balloons, floats and marching bands as well. And of course, the Snoopy and Charlie Brown floats are my favorites lol. Forgive me for asking, but what is the Rose Parade?
