North Korea Shoots a missile today

Does anyone else think the missiles are to close for comfort? So many years I heard about the bombs that were going to hit us. I remember growing up with practicing in school what to do if we heard the bomb sirens. Does anyone else remember those days and we had to get under our desks? Like getting under the desk is going to do a lot of good. I think it is getting to close for comfort.

North Korea is firing off practice missiles. Kim Jong Un is just trying to display his power, to the entire world:(

I hope he keeps practicing and not really aiming it anywhere specific.

Sorry about that, my writing was going faster than my brain. They did launch a missile today but luckily not our way. I think all this stuff talking about it and getting people a little nervous got to me. Lets hope it never gets aimed at us.

I did correct myself. Like I told @TheHorse, I think my mind is getting ahead of myself. Sorry.

I still remember the many signs not to touch objects found in gardens or in public places. The Italian cities received so many bombs during WWII, they are still finding some in our days.

It seems like diplomacy has taken a back seat these days. I don't think people as a whole realize that no country can win a nuclear war.

I heard about the missile launch. Their leader is certainly a worry.

I talk to South Koreans every single day and I often ask them about this. They always tell me the same thing, it's just practice. If they're not bothered by it then I think we shouldn't be too. Sometimes the news just exaggerates.

Just another buffoon leader who is armed and quite dangerous. Sounds familiar to me.

No. We never had such an experience. Better, we would not have. Poor people of N. Korea are really unlucky to have such an atmosphere which is disturbing the peaceful co-existence of other countries. They are on their own and do not mix with others.

Soon they will have to show, what was his name Herman the Turtle, in classrooms again. That is scary. He is a baby boy playing with toys too big for him. It is awful.

@ramapo17 It was the video where they have this cartoon turtle and he shows to "duck and cover" if a nuclear bomb were to go off.

I do remember those air raid drills where we had to huddle in the hallway with our coats over us. I was very young, so I should of been more scared than I was. I also remember my Uncle building a bomb shelter in his basement. Serious stuff! God, I hope we don't have to come to that, but with that N. Korean crazy, and me being much older now than I was then, I am concerned if no one is able to stop him.

They took us into the hallways and told us to put our faces down and cover with our hands. It's really scary with the bombs.

I remember when I was in grammar school and had air raid drills and sat on the floor with our heads between our knees.
