This year I decided to give two unsual presents. I have a friend that loves tea, so this year I will give her one box full of little tea bags of different flavours and two mugs with it. I usually cook my own jellies and I have a cousin that is always saying how delicious my jellies are, especially pumpkin with walnuts jelly and blueberry jelly. I bought two beautiful post to fill in with these jellies to give her. I don't know if they will like it because it is food, but I would love to receive both. Do you think food is a good Christmas present! Have you ever gave or received it?

I think food is a great present. I also think it helps round out gifts. Like if I give a movie it only makes sense some of their favorite treats/ snacks are in there for when they watch it...

@nela13 you can find a food to match up all presents except clothes! you do that and then people seem to think you are hinting about their weight! lol

Why not? I think it is quite a nice Christmas gift to give your friend tea since she enjoys tea. It is a very thoughtful gift. We all want our gift to be used well.

I love giving and receiving food gifts! In fact tonight I went shopping and bought some Japanese treats for gifts . . . my friend and I like to exchange Japanese sweets as part of our gifts. It's a practical and yummy gift!

I think edible gifts are nice for all occasions. Perhaps you can choose something with decorative packaging that they can keep.
