Christmas presents came too early...

Family we haven't seen for more than 10 years arrived yesterday and it was so nice to be reunited with them once again. We had a dinner for about 20 people and we went shopping at the mall. My son had a blast and got three shopping bags full of his favorite brand of clothing (teens!). He really wanted to go on a shopping spree with his grandma and they did without limits! It's fun being reunited with family members and I'm just happy to see all of them again. But of course I got my Christmas presents this early too! It's December first here already and Christmas is in the air!

Indeed 10 years is a very long time. So we were really excited yesterday while waiting for them at the airport.

What a shame to open the Christmas presents so much in advance, you will miss the magic of opening the gifts the day of Christmas under the tree.

They weren't wrapped at all. We don't usually celebrate Christmas.

@LadyDuck We don't exchange gifts on Christmas Eve. Whenever we meet our families we haven't seen for a long time, we always have gifts for each other and it doesn't have to be Christmas.

@toniganzon I see, we did until a couple of years ago. Now we stay at home and we do not exchange gifts with my husband.

@bluesa they were given only two weeks vacation from their work so they’ll be going back to New Jersey on the 14th. They won’t be here on Christmas.

When family's home it's always like Christmas with all the presents though it isn't the Christmas season. We always have presents for each other when we get together.

Oh yes it is, Other than the things he already received that his aunt and grandma brought, he still insisted on shopping for more! He's the first grandchild and his aunt helped took care of him when he was still a baby.
