December Came With The Snow

I woke up this morning to a white fairy land, lightly dusted with a fluffy snow.
November has not been a good month for me. I am happy that it's over and I welcome December with the hope for a better month.
Some facts about December:
The flower of the month is the narcissus and the birthstone is turquoise.
Zodiac signs for December are Sagittarius and Capricorn.
The important dates to remember:
In the year 1903, on December 17th, the Wright Brothers made their first flight.
Since year 336 (during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine) on December 25th we celebrate Christmas Day.
December 27th is National Chocolate Day and it's also my wedding anniversary.
December is the month of the Universal Human Rights.

@LadyDuck I stock things like pastas, rice, chocolate, a lot of dehydrated vegetables and fruits, etc. When I had my stroke I emptied the stock. Difficult to tell how it would have lasted if I had had to rely only on it, as I had friends doing some shopping for me for things like fresh fruits, meat and cheese, but I think quite a month. My cupboards are again quite full

I am going to a couple of parties this weekend, but December has 2 holidays. On December 8th we have the feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. And then on December 25 we celebrate Christmas. In fact, we start celebrating Christmas on Christmas eve.

@hereandthere 70% of people living in Switzerland are Catholics, then I know that there are Anglicans and Lutherans.

I hope December will be a much better month for you. We have lots going on this month. We leave for Florida on the 4th, our older son's birthday is the 6th, my hubby's birthday is the 18th, my brother will be in Florida for a week, dinner with friends in Florida has been set up for the month, and we host cocktails and dessert on New Year's Eve in Florida.

December is my favorite month of the year. Not only is it Christmas but I also celebrate my birthday on the same day
I love the holidays and all that goes into celebrating with family and friends.

What a beautiful photo, you took it right?
I didn't know a lot of those events except of course Christmas.
One natural event on the 21st is the winter solstice which means the next day will begin the longer days. I look forward to that, these short days are no fun.

@hereandthere She is in stable conditions, out of coma, but still artificially fed, she cannot walk anymore, she has big difficulties in speaking.
