Roommates have cable TV no more

I was surpised at their decision to cancel cable TV as they watch so much of it. They are big TV watchers. Comcast recently hiked up their bill and their contract was over so what the heck. They are going to attempt to only watch their Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. I think they will be fine and now save around $80 a month. I think another consideration is they are remodeling their unfinished basement and just spent $1,200 on flooring. Haha. It looks good so far. I could definitely live without cable considering I cant name the last time I turned my TV on. More often than not I spend that extra time in front of the tv, tv off with a book in hand. Do you have cable TV ? Or do you manage without it?

I do tend to agree. I guess it also depends on how much you like tv!

No. We just watch local channels which are for free. I don't want my kids watching too much TV.

We get basic cable for free where we live. Then pay for cable and internet package. But then we watch lots of different shows so need it. Plus we have netflix and wwe network for wrestling.

I have cable TV but it is only a part of a combo that includes internet and line phone. If I canceled it, I would not save much. Now I mostly use Netflix instead of cable TV.
