Do you check on all your comments and the responses you get

Earlier , I never used to bother with either my comments or the responses I got when I took part in other people's discussions . But now I am making it a point to check through them and after a week if there is no acknowledgement from the member I delete my comment ... There are of course some members who may simply like my comment but also respond to one of my discussions which is fine. But there are some who never respond to my comments on either their discussions nor participate in one of my discussions , I am talking about such members, both old and new ... From my side I have never ever let any comment directed at me go unanswered so feel it is only fair that others do the same , since that is the only way we earn here

I mostly go through recent discussions . I respond to each and every which I can. But most of them doesn't come back to my discussions. And Frankly speaking i don't have time to see who responded to me and if i do that i can respond to only some five or seven or maximum ten people. As i get only that number responses. Sometimes I respond to more than fifty discussions but still i can't get those many responses to my discussion...so I left it..you scratch my back and i scratch yours works only to some extent..so i left it ...
Now i am just responding....

I know that you respond when I leave a comment , I may not be able to sustain this for long but wanted to get different view points ...you scratch I scratch does not really help a discussion because you may have nothing to add but do so simply to show that you have responded

Unless it's a question though @kiran8 or sometimes I just don't know what to comment after wards. Specially if it's within deeper in the notifcation.

Many do not respond to my comments/responses, however, I do not delete my responses/comments. I leave it to them. I think it will be a bit cumbersome to delete my own responses and it will take some time to delete. That time could be utilized elsewhere.

@dpk262006 You cannot always do that especially when you have something to add on the topic. But when you do that with enthusiasm and just get a like and no response , you begin to wonder..

, I too respond much more than receive , so far made more than 9000 comments but received just 4000 odd responses.

@LadyDuck Exactly my point ...there was a very active member who is not seen much now , who would occasionally like my comments but most of the time ignore them , whereas I could see that he was responding to others . I never bothered with the said member after it happened 3-4 times which cannot be a mistake.

@kiran8 I agree, there are some users who never reply back, I think it's also a lack of manners. Imagine talking to someone in real life and they turn the heads and go away. I am making a list of those who never reply, they are a waste of time.

I try my best to respond to comments/responses I receive as well as respond to other people's discussion too.
I do look forward of course to receiving responses from my comments but I don't expect because if I do, I'll just get disappointed and there will always be those who don't reply, so I just let them be and do my own thing. There are still a lot of myLotters out there who are very interactive and responsive than those handfuls who are not.

@pitsipeahie I agree that many of them are interactive and respond to your comments ...in a discussion site we have to respond and also add some views of our own to take discussion forward..

Maybe, because I'm new, I get overwhelmed with it all sometimes. I try to answer everyone, but sometimes I just am busy visiting their discussions, I can't do it.

Understandable ...what I am saying is that there should be mutual interaction and reciprocation at some level. It is not fair yo expect members to respond all the time but it is also not right they never respond to any of your comments. I know of members who don't always respond to my comments but do from time to time participate in my discussion or respond to my comments on others discussion s. What I feel is that members should acknowledge when others make a valid comment.
