I can't believe it!

As I sit here surfing the internet and writing this, it is snowing! They are big fat snowflakes with a little rain. It is accumulating! I did read we could get a half inch to an inch.
This is a part of a Southern early Winter event that you may be hearing about on the news. In extreme North Georgia they have received more, even Atlanta is getting some!
This is so cool and what makes it even more cool is the fact that before the snow, when it was raining pretty heavily, I went into town and got my important errands done. Now I don't have to go anywhere.

Yes, my Sister who lives in Atlanta, has a story to tell about what happened to her in that snow storm 5 or so years ago.

Today they promised us snow and rain morrow. So this morning I went to the store so I don't have to go anywhere all weekend. On our suburban street it was so slippery that I just barely made it to the main road and glad I did that then because by tomorrow morning it will all be pure ice. Happens every year at about this time and no one does anything to make it better. Most of the neighbors who go to work have cars so to them it doesn't matter.

We got those huge snow flakes, yesterday in the afternoon. Wow, Georgia getting snow, this is really unusual!

It is very unusual. Once in the past 2 decades, it snowed on December 18th and I thought that was early. Really, today, Dec. 8 is the earliest it has snowed here in my town. It is a record.

Lots of snow everywhere it seems. So far we have avoided it but it is suppose to snow here all day tomorrow so I will get my running around done this evening so I don't have to go out in it tomorrow.

Yes my friend near Austin, Texas was getting snow at her house last night. She was so excited! I love the snow, till I was 12 we lived in Klamath Falls, OR, where we got lots of snow to play in every winter. Here in Paradise, California, we don't get much snow, but we get a little once in awhile. I really enjoy it when it comes. Right now, we don't even have rain in the forecast and the afternoon temps are getting into the fifties.

The town does have a snow plow. Surprisingly they used it on our road.
