Lush green and healthy chilies

We got these from a shop last evening. They look so fresh and healthy. I can never grow such great looking chilies in my garden. I am no good with vegetables simply because birds do not let me. We have great use for green chilies. They will soon go into making a herbal chutney. Do you use chilies in your cooking?

No, I have never used fresh chilis because I have not found any that are organic.

Yes @allknowing I am allergic to chemicals, hormones and antibiotics that many farmers use on their livestock.

Yes but sometimes the food gets too hot. We put chilies in soups. I don't know what a chutney is

Since I don't cook at all I can say I haven't. But when I go to restaurants that serve chili bombs I usually order that.

It is a matter of getting into any habit. If your husband starts tasting it he will like it.

We're not keen on hot foods so we don't normally use chilies.

How are they used in Indian cuisine? I love Tex-Mex (a US variation on Mexican food), and usually chilies are roasted or used as flavoring in spicier dishes like salsa. I've read that there are aspects of Indian food that are very spicy (or maybe that's an Americanized, spiced-up version of curry). I read that there are many variations of chutney, which I suppose is depending on what part of India you're in. They do look delicious!

They are raw in salads, cooked with vegetables and some dry them in curds and deep fry them.
