Doing the work of four people.

At work, I ended up walking over 4.5 miles today. The restaurant I work at isn't that big, but I had to attend the dining room which involves walking around and keeping the dining room clean, keeping the coffee and creamer full, keeping the teas and lemonade full, and keeping the area stocked with straws, water cups, lids and fresh lemons. It also included clearing the tables, taking dirty dishes to the sink and taking out the trash when it's full. I was also a server today so that was me walking around taking food and beverages to the customers. For the first time ever, they had me washing dishes too on top of all the other stuff. I was also quality control sometimes when no one else was at the window, which meant I had to check orders to make sure they were correct before calling a customers name for to go orders or taking an order to the table. I was exhausted after work and ended up clocking out with 41.4 hours for the week. Today, is my one day off for the week. The new work week starts Wednesday, and I'll be off Thursday. My kids want me to take them to the gym and even though I want to rest, it's not fair for them to be cooped up. I will take them to the gym but I'm only going to use the stationary bike and the treadmill. With all the walking I do at work, I've lost over 30lbs since May. I am overweight though so this is a good thing.

That is great you are losing weight. Sometimes when work wears me out I still gain weight. I guess I eat wrong at those times. I might take a nap while my kids were at the gym.

I can't nap as they are minors and I have to supervise them. *sighs* lol but if I could have, I totally would have.

This is true and while my ankle does hurt, it doesn't hurt as badly as it did a few months ago when I was over 30 pounds heavier.

It is a lot of walking, and since I am eating healthier, I have been losing weight.

Four miles at work is a lot of walking. Thirty pounds weight loss is great! With my current seasonal cashier job at a book store, there is far more standing than walking. I would rather walk.

I'm trying to get back to what I weighed over 18 years ago. I still need to lose another 70 lbs.
