It's a Wonderful

Day. It could be a wonderful life too. Especially as I look out my window. You can really tell the difference between cars that have garages, and those that don't.
I've now done the notifications twice, and time for me to get some writing done. I've opened my book, so I'm ready to go, but wanted to keep up here and not let it get out of hand.
I have Christmas music playing in the living room, and with the snow going on outside, it's a perfectly wonderful day. I've also watched the Christmas movie for today, from my collection - Miracle on 34th Street - colorized edition. I didn't know I had a two disk set until I opened it.
How has your day been? Thanks for reading.

That's a lot of laundry. I wish I could say I was. Well, I'm not blowing as much, which is good, but the cough seems to be getting worse instead of better. I hope that like it's darkest before the dawn, this cold is worse before it gets better. That's great your hubs was able to spend time with a childhood friend. Thank you. I'm glad I found a way to make covers.

I had a long day. Started out with my car frozen solid and I couldn't open the doors. Yay me! Took me awhile to get the front door open so I could start the engine and turn on the heat. Even with it running for almost half an hour I still couldn't get the back doors open so I could put Little Miss in her car seat. Had to pour warm water on the door.

@just4him I broke that door handle on it a couple of years ago when the door froze and I poured water on it. Grabbed the handle and it half broke. Now I have to be careful when opening the door.

I haven't done the warm water trick. I'd be afraid it would make it worse when it froze up again. I was afraid I would face the same situation this morning before I left for the library, but the door opened right away. My other cars always froze, so I got to not locking the car up so I could still get it open without breaking the key, as I was always afraid that would happen, though it didn't, Half hour is a long time to wait for it to thaw out.

Not as much as I wanted, but it was good. I was up very early this morning and worked on another book I'm planning on publishing next year. I got some good feedback on it from my writer's group a couple months ago, so I have the first chapter re-done. It also works a lot better. I'll be working on New Horizons when I get home from the library, unless I'm not done with the notifications yet.

Rain never is. I think it would melt on its way there.

You didn't forget entirely as Christmas is still two weeks away. I'm glad you remembered while you were there.

Here too. When I left for the library a little bit ago I checked the weather and it was 9 F with no wind, so that was a good thing. It didn't feel bad brushing the snow off my car as I prepared to leave.

That sounds like a peaceful day so far. good luck on your writing!
I've watched NCIS and been listening to christmas music while sewing. I am taking a quick break (boy is my hand cramping!) before I finish adding in the band to the second skirt. Then I plan to work on dinner and baking cookies!

You were busy. I hope the skirt is coming along good. Did your girls help bake? I bet the house smelled good with dinner and cookies.

That's a really good movie, and I know some people are against colorizing films, but some look so much better this way.

It really did look nice in color. There are some movies that shouldn't be colorized. This one made no difference to me. I think that's because my imagination always supplies the color when I watch a b&w movie.
