Found some old yearbooks

My husband was going through some boxes earlier and managed to pull out my jr. high yearbooks, I haven't seen them in awhile. I'm going through my class and I'm lucky if I remember half of them. Some of them I recognize their name and face but still can't quite place them. I have started to forget people at one time I probably never thought I could forget. I can remember most of the bullies and as I go through I can pretty much pinpoint the ones who made fun of me or people I knew and I can't lie I fb stalked a few of them out of curiosity if maybe karma managed to come back to hit them, not that fb is the place to figure out all of it because a lot of people make their lives look better than it really is on there. The one bully wasn't on FB but I know people who have seen him and I guess he is getting his dose of karma and then some. A few others it looks as though they are living the good life. Several of them have had kids and I can't help but wonder how they would feel if their child were being bullied the way they bullied others? I have to hope some of them turned their lives around. I didn't like everyone I came across but I still treated them with respect. I was never intentionally mean to anyone and I'm still not. As I go through this yearbook a lot of memories come flooding forward, both good and bad. I remember the bullying and I remember this creepy teacher who used to hit on his students. He wasn't a bad looking guy but his actions took away from his looks. He only treated the prettier girls well and the rest of the class were not treated the best. I remember he was a jerk to basically everyone else. He started teaching in his early to mid-20s at our jr high but was fired, I heard it was due to misconduct with his students but it's possible that's a rumor, albeit a believable one. I remember our industrial tech teacher (or shop teacher) he would constantly leave us alone with all of the shop equipment. He was known for smoking weed while on duty or leaving us alone to go smoke it somewhere else. I also remember when one kid took one of those tiny razors we used in industrial tech to cut balsa wood and slashed another kid's face and neck with it. I just caught a glimpse of the kid bleeding and I heard yelling and couldn't tell what was going on. It was when we were all getting on buses to go home. I remember pretty much knowing which industrial tech teacher the blade was swiped from as we had two. The one was an awesome teacher (I had him 8th grade) the other was the stoner (the one I had in 7th grade). As horrible as the memories of being bullied and tormented are I have fonder memories too. I remember going to a local island for a field trip in 7th grade and having a blast. I remember hanging out with my friends at lunch and I remember my 8th grade history teacher (sadly he died a few years ago) who had a unique way of punishing those who fell asleep in class. Unlike my jerk science teacher (the one who liked hitting on the prettier girls) who liked slamming a book down next to their head, my history teacher had a more hilarious way of dealing with the kid that slept. I remember this girl who sat at the desk directly in front of me fell asleep so he had us all sneak out (which was difficult since there were maybe 6 desks per row and I was at the very back and also next to the teacher's desk so I didn't have a lot of space, and she had her foot out and books down by her desk) and go to class and making sure none of us woke her, she later woke up the next class period very confused as to how there was another class in there with her, she was also in my next class and I had to explain to my English teacher why said girl wasn't in class and she had a good laugh. This teacher also never failed to make us laugh, and if we could get him off subject we often wouldn't have homework, and he wasn't difficult to get off subject. We once had him talking about pennies for almost an entire class period. When he got into history though he was always so excited to teach us the next new thing and he did it in a way that kept our attention. He was a big joker as I mentioned, he used to tell us back in his day when they rode dinosaurs to school and built forts out of lead pencils they would do things a certain way. He would relate history to his life and also apply it to our life. He wasn't my favorite teacher but I liked him and he helped make class more bearable and it saddens me he's no longer alive. He wouldn't have remembered me as I was the quiet kid that always sat in the back and never raised my hand because I hated talking in front of people. I just kind of slid by but I remember him with real fondness. I guess finding these yearbooks just reminds me how quickly time goes by and I love reminiscing some but at the same time, it's kind of sad. I often wish I would have done better and tried harder during that time but you can't take it back and you can only live with things the way they are.

@shivamani10 Our yearbooks were hardback, albeit I have some of the softbound books from elementary school and some of those are falling apart. I restapled one but it's not in the best of shape. The hardback ones are pretty easy to keep together. I did feel it, I often feel like I'm reliving the moments as I flip through.

I have my yearbook from both my junior and senior year. Love looking back on days gone by. Wish I knew where my psychology teacher is. I would love to reconnect with him. He was a really cool guy.
