First computer, then mobile phone... / myLot

I have just put my old computer to rest last month, which it has been serving me for 7 years. Just a few days ago, my mobile phone suddenly stopped functioning. I guess it needs to take a long break as well. It's my first smart phone, and it was passed down to me by my husband last year. It's around 3 years old. Perhaps it's too old to follow me everywhere I go, though I stay at home most of the time.

These are really unexpected expenses for me, I have no choice but to get a computer, and now a new mobile phone. The moral of the story: Nothing will last forever, so live in the moment, and remember to back up the important files.

Under a year! I didn't see the point to it until one of my daughters got hurt and there literally was no way I'd have been able to call for help had she needed emergency care. After that realization I got a phone..

Been using it for few months. Prior to my current phone, I've been using my older one for 5 years before it refused to function.

I only got mine earlier this year. Are you an android person or iphone? There are some pretty inexpensive smart phones on the market as long as you dont mind not having the best there is. Sorry to hear of the unexpected expenses. Definitely a terrible time of year for them.

I have a very old mobile phone, it works fine and I only use it to place calls. My computer will be 10 years old in two months. I make some upgrades time by time, it works perfect. I back up all my data at the end of every day.

I no longer have a cell phone, but this computer is about five years old. Soon, we will be needing a new one.

I prefer using computer rather than cell phone! I don’t feel like using cell phone while using it! I have been using my computer for five years and it is extremely great!
