A serial killer in London has already made 400 victims among cats and other pets, like foxes and rabbits in the past two years. Like Jack the Ripper he uses surgical instruments, and severs the head and tail of his victims. Investigated first by a small animal welfare association, and then by the Royal Society for the Protection of Animals, the case is now also investigated by Scotland Yard who fears that it is just a matter of time before he starts to do also human victims.
A £10000 reward is offered for any information that could held to capture this psychopath serial killer.
Horrible. Maybe I should better forbid to my cat to go outdoors during the night ?

@YrNemo You read a more complete article than the one I have linked. I did not knew most of these details. I read that it started in Croydon, that's all. It seems logical to think that he started not far from his home/neighborhood, for the rest it is a so irrational behavior that it is difficult to deduce anything logical. The only good thing is that they start to have a description of this man that can lead to his arrest.

@topffer I read it now, from a different source. Seems like they know vaguely the culprit's physical description, 40s, average built, etc (I forgot the rest). Guess it is a matter of time now. The guy seemed to lure his victims by using raw chicken meats. He seems to target animals from certain areas, mainly newly developed areas etc. Let hope they will get him soon. (From what I read, he at first killed those animals and left them right in the vicinity of the owners, where they could see the pets. THAT suggests somehow that he might have known those people well enough and had a grudge or something similar against them? How do you think?)

Yikes. I suppose these smaller creatures allow him to "practice" before he gets to humans . I sure hope they find this sick person. And yes, people really should keep an eye on their cats/pets if they are roaming freely outside !

What prompts the perpetrator to do such a thing? Hope the wicked guy will soon be arrested!

@topffer At least, that is a sort of abnormal behaviour. It is a worrying thing that the guy is still at large.

That's scary! I hope they manage to find the person who did those horrible things soon. It's just sickening.

@topffer Yeah, and scary to think that he might target people next.

Hopefully they will find this person soon, although with 400 cats already victims, it seems they have not been able to for a considerable amount of time so far.
