Read the FAQ ant the TOS. Still, mylot is a social site. Don´t expect to get rich here.

First of all, I would like to correct your query. Perhaps it would be better to ask for how to interact many people. However, you are not wrong to question. Well, I would like to suggest you to create your genuine discussions and make people to attract towards your discussions. The only attraction you can make is creating great discussions of your own.
Best of luck for your purpose on myLot.
And I would love to say, it would be better if you didn't think about money on the first thing.

The first step for all newbies is to read the Guidelines to learn what is allowed or not on the site. Then you can write a post introducing yourself. Tell us a bit about yourself.

You have to discuss,comment and and like . You have to like and comment the topics you like of others and the others will also comment and like on your discussions which they like.
