As I'm making the last of the Christmas cookies this morning I have to say that the new cookie baking sheets my daughter bought make a huge difference.
So far we have made oatmeal, chocolate chip, chocolate chip with macadamia nuts, chocolate chip with coconut, butter and now sugar cookies. I think we've made enough since everyone will be bringing something for dessert on Christmas Day.
I am surprising even myself today as I have 99% of everything done and don't feel as stressed as I thought I would.
In case you aren't here over the weekend I want to wish all my friends here a wonderful and Merry Christmas and happy holiday season. Thank you all for the good times and all the conversations over this past year.
For those not celebrating, enjoy your weekend!!

Wow, you're moving right along today! I had the same idea as you with making cookies but I have to pick up more sugar. Bad time to run out.

I am making mine in a convection oven. I am making chocolate cake mix cookies with Andes candies. They were a big hit last year.

New bakeware is among my most favorite things. I find that cookies come out much nicer off of a new sheet and cakes come out perfectly from new cake pans.
It sounds like there will be lots of cookies to munch on at your gathering.
I'm trying a variation of a recipe today. I have a plum upside down cake in the oven. It smells delicious, but we'll see what it looks like when it is finished baking. I thought that I would put a few fresh raspberries and a few fresh blackberries on the top of it. And of course lots of cool whip, nothing nicer on a warm cake is there?

That is how I usually bake cookies this time of the year. I did not this year. I need new cookie sheets, probably get them on sale after Christmas
Have a Merry Christmas! I will be on and off this weekend, in between cooking.
