I'm still trying to figure out why you couldn't sleep... From the eye pain alone? Or because your work kept bugging you & buzzing you on your PC and phone while you were trying to sleep? If it was from the pain, I'd suggest bringing the brightness of your computer wayyyyy down like I did. My background is almost a dull grey at this point, and I like it that way. Otherwise, that bright white really messes with my eyes, sometimes a chunk of my vision disappears ...then I start seeing a zig-zag....and it's flashing lights (beeeautiful colors, I might add) but still, I don't enjoy it. Try that, it really helped me. I work on this other site and right when I got the job (I was so excited).. I started getting migraines almost every day. The only thing I could connect them to... was the new job. So I had to adjust the brightness of my screen. I think we're all just getting old.

@shinysylvia Okay yeah get it checked out, but be careful when you see the eye doc, don't let him run too many tests on your eyes (your eyes will hurt even more, you might even get a migraine afterwards!) I am very lucky to have an eye doctor who lets me call the shots. He knows I don't like when they put the drops in your eyes to dilate the pupils, so he doesn't do that test on me. He also knows I don't like the air-puff test for glaucoma (because it drives me insane) so he doesn't do that one either. He just lets me do whatever the heck I want and then I get to pick out my fancy new glasses as usual.

Thank you for breaking down neatly about the problem. Looking at the screen for long hours hurt my eyes. Even after I'm home I have to reply to client messages. As @snowy22315 suggested turning away from screen and rest for sometime was a great idea. And you might get your eyes in trouble bringing down the white down to grey. I mean if you can see thats okay. But if you struggle to see thats where a problem comes in. My Pc and mobile always have medium brightness. While I sleep my eyes hurts. I should definitely go to the doctor

Hi friend, when working whenever you can just stretch up your body and give rest to the eyes. I think you should see as well a doc. Feel well.

I think you need to remember to look away from the screen every 20 minutes and rest your eyes.
