Issues or scared to Drive?

Yes, I have had my license for a while but I get a little anxiety for highways and stuff like that. I was wondering if there is anything I can do. I mean I can get out and drive you know and just do it right? I drive it is just driving far to like Sacramento and things like that. I can go to the airport and back as well which is about an hour or so away.

Sometimes, I think you just have to make the decision you are not going to let fear rule your life. When I moved to the DC area I was really scared the first year to drive on the beltway, it just seemed so scary..but eventually I decided I could do it, and I did. It is just like any other highway just with more lanes.

Thank you very much. I am really happy to hear that you are no longer afraid. I have just been so scared cause I have kids and stuff so at times it's like whoa, but I have to do this though so that I can try and get a job outside of the area I am at and so I can drive home to Texas.

I guess it is normal to feel afraid to drive in the highway. Not all people has the courage in driving only those who already call themselves a pro.

Fear is in the mind they say. We create our own fears. So it is up to us to conquer that. It is up to us to get rid of that. Hope you can and hope you find that courage to delete fear in your mind.

Is it only high ways that give you anxiety or just driving period?

I have anxiety most of the time. I think it worked out for me that I’ve never got the chance to take driving exam or even lessons. I would panick if I’m on the highway and I’d rather use Uber.
