I am so upset. I broke one of my wife's Pfaltzgraff salad plates. It was so beautiful, sky blue solid stoneware. I will have to find a way to make it up to her. I was simply hand towel drying dishes this morning and whoops! it slipped and fell into 3 pieces. Not a good way to part with the old year. I will have to find a way to completely make it up to her in the new year. But there are so many designs to choose from. I am looking for a stoneware set for 4, bowls, soup and salad, plates, small and large, floral patterns are nice but I like solids best. I will have to Google it to find out more. This 16 piece set looks very nice. I am thinking about this set called Cambria.

These happen but it really hurts. We have Corelle set and I handle it with care - siva

That is some excellent dinnerware. My wife likes it and thinks that it is truly high quality.

Is it the first piece of dishes that you break in your life?

No it is because I was not well and normally I do not make a habit of dropping dishes. I was angry at myself for being careless.

Uh oh..could you super glue it or use contact cement? I did that on one of my plates and it lasted for awhile.

Not possible, a small piece sliver is missing leaving a hole in the middle. It was one of my favorites. I really think I need to get her an entirely new set. stoneware is heavy but it is also my favorite. It lasts forever, as long as I don't drop it!

I try hard not to break dishes. It only happens once in a blue moon.
