It is imperative that we all think of conservation. This will not only benefit us but everybody. Oil, trees, wild life, etc etc. Your suggestions please.

One suggestion is every tree we use should be replaced by one seedling.

Thanks for sharing the concern. Yes we need to use the resources with an eye on the future. Solar, wind power, etc should be exploited more.

by conserving our natural resources...we indians think that if we have money, we must travel by car, not by bus or a two wheelar. and about auto drivers, god help us from them...no proper laws and no tech to harness natural energy, so its become difficut...

I am all for coservatism. If one can incorporate small changes in ones life in order to conserve, it would be good. However, beware of the measures that are supposed to bring about environmental benifts. Take ,for instance, the 'food mile' program in the U.K. This program encourages people to buy food products that are locally grown and processed. It informs the consumers how many miles a particular food item has travelled .The lesser the number of miles travelled the better, as that saves on fuel for transport. But, others argue that food grown in, lets say Africa, is more environmental friendly as the farmers make minimal use of fuel and chemicals. They rely on more conventional methods of farming, and arguably produce food with less envionmental hazards. Even if the food travelled many miles ,it would still be a safer bet than locally grown food. There is a strong possibilty that this is another protectionist program. Biofuels are being mooted as an alternative to petrol. But the amount of corn required is enormous. A tankfull of corn ethanol can apparently feed a man for one whole year! I think measures such as switching lights when not in use and their likes are our best bet. Moreover, the validity of global warming itself has come under scanner. I suggest that you read a book called 'State of fear' by Micheal Chrichton. It proposes that global warming is a big invented story. More than anything it will help will analyse things more carefully, and see the scope of fraud in many concepts, hence making you more discerning.

I dont think market know the way out. This market theory was put to test with the Kyoto protocol. But, as we know the system has not only failed in the wake of the recession(Carbon credits are really cheap now),it is also unfair. We oughht to stay agnostic until we have legimate research.

I agree that what appears initially conservatism.ay not be so. In fact it is being widely researched area. The answers are emerging and we will keep learning. One thought which just struck me is that, may be the markets know an efficient way out. Or are markets and the invisible hand incapable of envisioning the future.

by adopting rain water harvesting, using alternative forms of energy like solar, wind, nuclear energy, reduce the consumption of non-renewable resources, reusing and recycling (eg. paper, metal scrap), protecting them from contamination or pollution. biodiversity i.e wild life could be conserved by forming national parks and sanctuaries

all the resources which god have created for the man or for other living things make up the natural resources.these natural reasources are present on the form of river ,ocean, forest, mineral, fertile land, etc. god has blessed all over the world with all types of natural resources.we have got best fertile lands, reviers, oceans minerals, different climates and natural forest, etc.these natrual resources are the blessing of god to us.we sould try to explore them and get the maximum benefit from these natural resources so that can make great progress in the world and compete with other nations.there is no shortage of natural resources in our beloved country.
