Hard to believe, now it even snows in Sahara desert. I watched this news from TV tonight. It is hard for me to imagine how it feels there right now. This is a miracle in nature.

Perhaps you are from a tropical country?

Wow! Very unusual, we can never tell what will happen next on earth. So, there's a possibility to have snow fall in a tropical country like philippines. When it happens I don't know what I should feel, happy because I wanna experience snow fall or scared of change.

It will be a disaster if there is a snow in Philippines. At that time the earth must be in a big trouble.

It is not that surprising. I have traveled in Sahara during holidays, and you have a big difference between the day and the night. At this time of the year you have 20/30°C during the day and it freezes during the night. In summer you need to take a sweater at sunset and to have a warm sleeping bag for the night, the temperature falls from 40/45°C to low 10's.

That's very cool that you have travelled to Sahara before. If there is snow there, perhaps it can be more water there and one day the desert may not be a desert any more.

@youless With the global warming we can doubt about that. The Sahara was green about 5000 years ago, but actually the desert gains ground every year. It is rare when there is rain (or snow), and I have not seen a drop of water during the 15 days I spent there. I suppose the snow melts quickly during the day. I had a look and the Sahara had snow in some part also in 2015 and 2016.

@topffer is right. Snow is not common in the Sahara desert, but it already happened in the past. It is very common to have very cold temperature during the night.

I know it can be very cold at night in desert, but I can't expect it will snow there.
