Hey everyone I hope you are doing well tonight. We are about to head to bed shortly. We have been in the ER this evening because Jackson sprained his thumb. Thank God it was just a sprain and not broke! God is so good!!

I have to babysit early in the morning so I need to go to bed but I will be here on and off tomorrow. I have a new little one I am watching now-my other client has been in and out of the hospital and no longer working.

I am grateful to have another little one to watch though, and I hope the mom will be well again soon! How was your day?

@Ladyduck He was playing outside, tripped on the curb and when he put his hands down his thumb took most of the weight.

@Courtlynn He didn't even tell me, I just saw it and was surprised! We took him to make sure there were no fractures or anything. Thank you! I have the little girl I used to watch today, she said she felt stronger today so I guess it will just be an on and off thing.

Bet that was painful and a thumb or finger can hurt like crazy. I banged up my finger today and I howled so much but it was just a bang that´s all. Good to see you are all fine apart from that.

It's never fun when you have to deal with an injury of your child. But kids will be kids, and these things are guaranteed to happen. The hope is--that just like in your case--the injury doesn't end up being as bad as you initially think it is. Anyway, I'm glad to hear he's okay and only just has a sprained thumb. The 13-year old son of one of my co-workers tore the meniscus in he knee yesterday playing baseball, and will now require surgery. Oh, the joys of having children....especially boys who are always so rough when they're out playing!
