Well this new roommate situation is looking pretty good. I just talked to the guy who wants to rent. He has agreed to give me a deposit to hold the room. I did actually talk to someone the other day who I would rather have as a tenant and he is right in this area. He sounds young and healthy and unlike a lot of the people who call me..articulate..but I did basically agree to rent to the other guy first and he is willing to give me money to hold it..so I guess he has it!

Well if the first guy falls through, you have a back up. So that's nice.

Yes, well the second guy the one that I am impressed by never saw the place so I have no idea whether he would actually rent or not.

@thislittlepennyearns Well I am..but it is kind of hard to get the price you want on a house here. Someone down the street has had his on the market for several months now. I was shocked when my neighbors two doors down sold in a few weeks. The house must be amazing inside..I doubt they would have sold too much under market because the owner was a banker..

I just got the money today..and that was the whole thing..I wanted him to show me he was serious..because plenty have not been. The money is to hold his place.

Well yes, I am planning on putting the house on the market shortly though so not sure how long it will last..but this will enable me to wait for a decent price at least.

Actually, I do..but it is hard enough managing one renter let alone two. If I did rent out the other room it would be just on a short term basis.

Yeah, the way of the world lol..Actually, I have it posted in a local site on FB and people ask me about it every day...the thing is they seem to have no idea where I am located..once they find out it is in the boonies..I don't hear back from them..It is silly..
