Wind energy ... such hard work for nothing.. wind power is used to generate electricity. The first important aspect about using wind power is that it never requires consumption of water, bigger spaces & does not emit any greenhouse gas.Wind power is created using wind turbines in which air passes through it and which in turn goes into mechanical power generator for making electric power. There are farms which consists of wind turbines which are called wind farms. These farms contain many wind turbines which again is connected to power transmission network. This is wind power method is way less problematic than other sources of power that have finite resources for example coal mines. It would be interesting to know that there are two types of farms of wind power, i:e; onshore farms and offshore farms. Onshore wind farms are not expensive, its all together expense is even less than coal plants. These farms do provide some energy for creating electricity but its less effective method as it all depends on the power of wind whereas offshore farms provides good and steady form of energy and much more effective than the first type. Offshore farms are created in water forms like sea lakes etc. On one hand it provides stronger energy, on the other hand it is costly process to build and maintain offshore farms still less costly than other sources. The first wind mill for usage electric power build in Scotland by Prof James Blyth in the year 1887. Later the design was developed by others accordingly. With the development in wind farms now we have steady supply of energy with less cost. Worldwide there are above 200 wind farms with China being number one and India being in fifth place.Since wind is always not the same every time, its profits and loss depend on weather. To sum it up, I feel wind energy is cheaper than other sources. Furthermore, I would like to add that it is practical and a good effective method that will prove to be more and more useful as time passes by. i dunno what's wrong but this got rejected am very sad about this

Yes, wind, waves and sun are energy sources that need to continue to be used.
