Government Scare Tactics

The Government in the United states close down because a hole bunch of grown men couldn't agree on what to do with peoples money and livelihoods. And what I mean by the last statement was a lot of people are on disability and social security and if the government closed what would they have down if they had no money to pay there rent or feed then selves or keep the lights on or keep heat in the winter, This is a scary thing for most because a bunch of childish men want to argue would have hurt so many.

You're absolutely correct that we have 536 children in DC. I might add to that, 536 rich children. The president is a billionaire. Better than half the members of Congress are multi-millionaires. What do they know from living paycheck to paycheck.
However, Social Security is deemed an "essential function," and, had the shutdown continued, would have been paid as usual on February 3rd. VA checks, Medicare, and Medicaid would have also been paid, as they are deemed "essential."

@bigshow9773 -- truth be told, they think that they control us because we let them by continually re-electing them, regardless of what they do. That bozo who's Senate Majority Leader is one of my senators; and, even though I voted for him 30-some-odd years ago I'd vote for Mickey Mouse first now! He's been in there too long, as have so many others.
You watch how many of these clods who were involved in this fiasco get re-elected in November!

@Plethos obama said that when the government shutdown when he was in the white house. He tried to threatened the elderly and disabled by saying it.

@bigshow9773 Nope, that was obama who told that lie when he was in the white house. Social Security is guaranteed and has to be accepted by banks even if they don't think the money is there to cover it.
