In my research I found out that there exist a rainbow tree. It's has a smooth but flaky bark that sheds layers that comes in different colors making it look like a rainbow tree. As the bark ages it will start from bright green to darker green then bluish to purplish then pink to orange and finally maroon color. This happens all throughout the tree at various times or stages of shedding so they create patches of colors making it a living work of art. This tree can be found in Hawaii, Indonesia and also the Philippines in the regions of Mindanao. It is called the Rainbow Eucalyptus tree. Have you encountered similar tree like this?

I had climbed several mountains with tropical rain forests but I have not encountered any and most probably the locals would inform me if there was something unusual in the area.

@averygirl72 oh I see, my wife is from Mindanao and a side of my family is from Negros but I had never climbed mountains there

The Eucalyptus trees I've seen in Italy are not so colourful. The bark only has different shades of green.

It's one variety of Eucalyptus trees. It grows in tropical regions with lots of rain

@averygirl72 In your second-last sentence, you said the tree is called a rainbow eucalyptus tree. There are many sorts of eucalyptus trees and we have many of them. I don't know if we have this one or not.

I love these trees, I learned about them from a video game. I have never seen any in real life, but I have seen rainbow looking trees in a petrified forest.

I have read about this here at mylot before and it sure is fascinating! The trees are so gorgeous they look like melted crayon is poured down their bark.
