God Is Not Our Errand-Boy; Prayers Are 'Our Response to His Orders'!

I've probably mentioned several times how much it irritates me that people think this. Even after Lord Jesus Christ Himself said, "your Father (who art in Heaven) knows what you need before you ask him"; Christians still tell other Christians "I need lotsa y`all to call out lotsa pray`rs for me & my poor & sick & struggling loved ones " (Even now, I would guess that most people are wanting to respond, 'But pray'r is talkin` to God!' And I of-course "disagree," but I'll never convince you it's not if you think it is; the same way you'll never convince a child that their imaginary friend can't hear them ... (And then any Atheists reading this will chuckle, "But God is an imaginary friend " ... Well, God's as "imaginary" as my relatives who live in upstate New York---they actually exist, and I know they actually exist; but to you, they might as well be imaginary ) Christians so-believe that prayer is 'talking to God' that they'll even 'phrase' prayers that way. What 'Prayer' actually is is more like "talking to yourself"---call it 'talking to your higher self' ... putting your hopes & plans into words and meditating on them (as if someone can actually hear them). The purpose of 'praying for others and reporting that prayer to them or -to others who care for them' is "so that they are confident in their success (recovery or other trial)." Like when I was in therapy rebuilding my walking-legs, I felt ... I'm not sure what to say ... like 'my body was fulfilling The Prayers'---whether anyone actually prayed for me or not! My brain took all the prayers I heard & -all the prayers I'm sure my body & I were praying, and owned them as my very own! ... Just the same way that 'God spoke, "Be!" and so it was,' my brain spoke "Walk!" (or--you know--'Step-Balance-Shift-Balance-Lift-Swing-Plant-Balance-etc') and so I did! so (I guess it's another thing I have to tell myself when my fellow Christians are proudly announcing their misconception that God is some kind of 'errand-boy waiting on the orders of his lazy bosses') all the people who announce "Prayers!"-etc. on those posts that 'ask for all your prayers' ... it's just like the crowds of people who applaud when the announcer introduces the next performer---'how loud you applaud' doesn't usually change "the planned performance" any, but just makes the performer a little surer of themselves as they do it. Or like the "Yes, sir!" in response to an order from a commanding officer. (The commander doesn't need to know if you "agree"; he gave an order! but you need to know!)
