We are waiting for the take off of the Space X Rocket from Orlando, Florida. So far it has been delayed a few hours. This is one of the most powerful space crafts that was ever built. After it goes up it will return back where it started. There are hundreds of people all over Florida to watch this amazing challenge. We just have to go outside to watch it. Normally when the rockets go up down here we can hear the loud noise as well as feel the house shake. I cannot imagine this time. I hope the house stays standing.

I was surprised at how much public attention this rocket launch received. I guess it had a lot to do with how big the rocket was! I heard that the crowds at and around Kennedy Space Center were almost as big as the crowds for the final space shuttle launch. It's great to see that the public is still interested in space exploration and still supports our outer space missions! Elon Musk and the SpaceX program have certainly put excitement back in the people's hearts!

@moffittjc Right, I would hate to watch one that didn't make it. We have a friend that was an astronaut and was suppose to go up on the next one but they canceled the program then. I would be a wreck if I was married to him. That is a real scary job.

The news showed so many people that came in from all over the country. Some went in RV's and stayed over night. Luckily it was great weather for it.

For me that would be a good reason to live in Florida. I've always loved all things Space.

When we first moved here it was such a novelty and now we are getting use to it. My husband always knows ahead of time as reports are on the television everyday. It is amazing how the house feels it sometimes.

@just4him I didn't feel anything this time where some other times the whole house shook. It doesn't make sense as this one was so much bigger.

@ramapo17 So, did it shake when it took off? I did find a feed with the launch.

I like the fact that you've written rockets go 'up down here'. I know exactly what you mean but it made me smile.

How else would I say it. They are going up in the sky and I live in the bottom of the United States. I cannot stop laughing.

@ramapo17 We watched it. I was all prepared for a possible explosion, but it worked! How did your house do during the launch?

It is not staying there, it is coming right back. It is the heaviest ever so I think they want to make sure it will make it and back.

@Courage7 They want to find out how much weight it can take for the future and like all the others to make sure it will take the trip successfully.
