MyLot and the Olympics

I don't know how you guys do it, watch TV and myLot. I tried it yesterday while I was watching the Olympics and it took me a long time to get anything accomplished on myLot.
So, my new strategy is going to be myLot when the Olympics aren't on. Or at least myLot when those events I'm not interested in, such as this afternoon, are on, but when figure skating is on, I won't be here. I can't watch them dance or skate and type at the same time. It's just not possible for me.
So, if you were missing me or at least another discussion from me yesterday, that's why. I finished watching what I had on the DVR from the first night with pairs skating - great job to all skaters. I also tried to catch the moguls. It's not easy to watch and type.
So, my hat goes off to all of you who can do it. It took a lot for me to walk down the street and chew bubble gum at the same time. I'm going to do what I can and hopefully finish the notifications, but when those skaters hit the ice. I'm outta here.
Can you watch TV and myLot at the same time? Thanks for reading.
Picture is mine taken from my TV during the opening ceremony

I agree. MyLotting is a stand alone with music, but not the TV.

I've tried to do both but always wind up missing something on tv or losing my train of thought when reading or commenting on a post.
Enjoy the Olympics! figure skating is my favorite part too

I agree. Very easy to lose your train of thought, or miss something important.

@just4him - I always have done other things while I watch TV. I'm on the computer, on my phone or I am crocheting whenever the TV is on. I do pause, however, when something spectacular is going on!

@just4him - I think you are probably wise about that, and you probably enjoy your outings much more because you are not constantly annoyed by a ringing phone.

I usually watch things that don't need me to watch the screen while I Mylot. I save the documentaries and such until I am ready to turn off the computer and concentrate on the tv screen for a while.

Well, the focus does gets impacted when we are doing two simultaneous things, but even I watch TV and do mylot, as I am doing now, while watching a movie.

I could only do that if it's a movie I've seen many times before.

I can do both, and do it all of the time.
But......I use a laptop, literally on my lap, while reclined on our reclining sofa and watch the tv while my fingers do their magic on the keyboard. Now......when it comes to reading, I have to cheat on the tv and just listen while I read with my eyes. I haven't trained 1 to watch 1 thing while the other eye does something else.

I normally have no problem watching TV and myLotting at the same time. But I've noticed that since the Olympics have been on, my time on myLot has become so much less productive. I guess that's because I have been thoroughly absorbed in what is happening in the Games on TV.

@just4him Did you watch figure skating last night? I was very surprised that many of the female skaters looked like they were wearing g-strings and very, very short skirts. I mean, I'm not complaining, but just was very surprised! lol

@moffittjc No, I missed it, but I have it on DVR so I'll be catching up with it. Those outfits don't sound flattering.

I tried to mylot while watching luge. Not possible. If I mylot I miss what what's happening in luge on TV. If I watch luge can't mylot because what I type while watching luge is full of typos. So, it's mylot or Olympics, not both at once. Though I guess I can watch Olympics and mylot during the commercials. But I watch on DVR and can skip commercials, so that probably won't happen.

@just4him Sometimes there are way too many commercials.

One can do both when what is on TV is not important or requiring much attention. There is so much babbling during sports that you can myLot waiting foe something to actually happen.
