You want no frills good old basic hard 70s rock? Take a slow ride with Foghat. None of that progressive glam rock era stuff for this British outfit. Foghat played loud and hard and were much better live hence being a major concert draw during their heyday. The band’s unique sound came from electric slide guitar. Formed in London, Foghat was originally “Lonesome” Dave Peverett (vocals, guitar), Tony Stevens (bass), Rod Price (slide guitar) and Roger Earl (drums). Foghat was a nonsense name made up by Pevrett. Besides “Slow Ride,” the band’s other great rockers include “Fool for the City” and “Honey Hush.” Written by Peverett, “Easy Money” was an album track from “Stone Blue” and typical of Foghat’s loud sound. The band soldiers on in smaller venues despite the deaths of Peverett (2000 at 56) and Price (2005 at 57).

Oh, yeah! I remember when this song got airplay. Good song, and as usual they shouldn't be relegated to one song on radio.....
