Who are "Follows"?

On the upper left side of mylot there is a tab called "Follows" where you can find all their activity on mylot. I've never clicked on this tab before, but I did yesterday. Went to some discussions and left some responses. Bum I am confused. Does "follows" refer to those that I follow or those that follow me?
Do you any of you ever use this tab?

That indicates who you are following. I use it all the time. Those following you appear in a drop down under your name.

"Follows" means those whom you follow. "Followers" are those who are following you. If you think about it, you only need a list of the discussions and activity of those you are following (because that's why you are following them). Of course, it may (hopefully) be mutual and they may follow you, too.

it's the people you follow, not those that follow you. some mylotters keep their Follows list small and go there first so they can prioritize those discussions before going to their notifications, or most recent discussions.

It was only some days ago that a newbie asked how he could get many followers here. I told him that nobody on myLot is interested in the number of his followers.
Oldies may remember how some bubblews members used to boast with their high numbers of followers. But what does a number mean if the followers don't Like and Comment on one's posts?

@MALUSE I went to your profile and the button says Follow. So, I guess that means I am not "following" you. Perhaps you are "following" me.

I don't really "follow" many people on here. No reason. If I wanna read someone's discussions I can do that without actually following them. I think the "follow" feature should be for the die-hard fans.

No, I never look at it.
I check those I'm following and most recent and that's it.
People I follow I chose to for whatever reason...people that follow me chose to for their reasons but I don't much care about followers

Thanks for drawing my attention to that once again. I used to look at it but don't really anymore and Im glad to re-use it. I knew who they were but it was good to refresh my memory!
