Have you tried a Taco Pizza?

@DaddyEvil Well, we do not call this pizza in Italy, because the topping is not a pizza topping. I know that people now call things with the most fantasist names. We call American style things that do not even exist in the United States. So it's normal that you give Italian names to things that have nothing to do with the real thing.

It is made on a pizza crust, it looks like a pizza and it is cooked like a pizza. So we call it a pizza. Edit to add: Many people call shiitake mushrooms 'steak'.

@LadyDuck - Here in the US, we call food by all kinds of weird name! We call fried sliced potatoes "French fries," although the French never created them. We also have taco salads, although you are unlikely to ever find them in Mexico or Spain. We're crazy! LOL

I can promise you, Judy, it IS very good! Would you like me to ship you a slice? (grinning and giggling!)

It's from a convenience store, Michelle! Most people who don't live around here always ask us why we'd eat something from a convenience store. When we tell them we eat it because it tastes great, they look puzzled and shake their heads at us!

(smiling at you!) Yup! You're right, that convenience store chain doesn't extend to the Philippines. But you could come visit my daughter, Pretty and I for a while. We'd buy enough we could stuff ourselves sick on Taco Pizza!

Oh, wow! Yeah, just like most of the other myLotters, Anne, you'd need to come visit my daughter and I because there aren't any Casey's Convenience Stores in Georgia. We might as well have a big myLot slumber party when everyone gets here. Now, we just need to coordinate everyone's vacation!

You are mistaken, vanny... I didn't tell you not to come to my discussions. I threatened to tell you not to come to my discussions. That still leaves the choice up to you. Hmmm... let me go back and look at that pizza... BRB. The only thing I see on that pizza that looks like blood is the melted and browned cheese on the outer crust. It does look somewhat like dried blood... but surely, a vampire can tell the difference between melted and browned cheese and dried blood? The only other things that are red are the tomato chunks on top. (grinning at you) I am positive you aren't talking about the tomatoes! BTW, what else have you added to your comment? (Although you may not have added anything, but I can't see whatever that is and am curious.) Let me take a screenshot so I can show you what I am asking about.

Hmmm... the way you worded your response, Marlina, makes me wonder if you've tried Taco Pizza from some other restaurant? I've been telling everyone they should come visit my daughter and I so we can all have a good time and scarf down lots of Taco Pizza... You're invited, too. (I'm sure we can find some other type of pizza you'd enjoy!)

(grinning at you!) It is delicious food, Sherlocked. I've been telling everyone they are welcome to come to my house to visit for a while and we can stuff ourselves with Taco Pizza. So, are you up for an adventure to the United States? (smiling)

Dang! You know a stoned Mexican, Plethos (grinning at you!)? Do you think you... uhm... I mean HE could come up with other "Mexican" style food for us? Pretty and I LOVE Taco Pizza! @DaddyEvil since we moved to Canada, we have not left to visit anyone in the US except our family in NY, Florida and Mass. Missouri is just a fading memory - we lived in the state for a year. My husband was coaching football at Missouri Southern. If i ever get that way (to Missouri) I will take you up on your invite. I won't forget.

*smiling at you* No, actually, it is like eating a hamburger pizza with added stuff on it. (It doesn't really taste anything like a taco unless you add taco sauce to it... which I don't!) If you ever travel to Missouri anywhere around Springfield you can stop at a Casey's General Store and order one of these. It is different but good.

@cintol Tomatoes and lettuce are chopped over the top of the hamburger pizza, along with crumbled Doritos Nacho Cheese chips. I guess you could ask them to leave the tomatoes off of yours. (I've never ask Casey's to custom make one of their pizzas, so have no idea if they will.) Overland? Kansas City? Two of my brothers live in Kansas City, Missouri.

@DaddyEvil Well I don't know, it sure looks like a taco to me!!! I lived in Missouri for 3 yrs once upon a time, we lived in Overland but I don't remember a Caseys general store. I still have friends there and go from time to time so I will take a look as long as they come with no tomatoes!!

@tzwrites Hmmm... really? Do you think what they make in Germany and Canada have roughly the same flavor as the one I described? Do you know what they call their version of a Taco Pizza? If it is close to the same flavor, I would give those a try!

I'm sure there aren't any of these convenience stores in Romania, but you could join the other myLotters and come visit my daughter and I for a little while. We could all meet and have fun enjoying Taco Pizza!

I'm sorry, Nitin... uhhh... you eat meat? (I thought you were a vegetarian? I wouldn't want to feed you something you don't normally eat.) If you don't eat meat but can/will eat mushrooms, we could put them on the pizza instead of the browned beef when you come to visit us. (grinning at you!)

@nitirrbb7 (smiling at you) That's great, Nitin! Slightly dried mushrooms have the same mouthfeel as good meat and some varieties have a very similar flavor to beef. The vegetarian version of the Taco Pizza will be just as good as the non-veg version! I will admit, I was a bit worried. Many vegetarians won't eat mushrooms, either, since they are considered neither plant nor animal but somewhere in between. When you come to visit we will eat enough to make ourselves sick!
