Do You Call Back On Unknown Missed Calls?

Recently brought a new number as my old service provider was shut down and I was to late to port in other provider.
The new number which I purchased must be used by someone else earlier a reason of which there were many unknown calls and at times even a few missed calls.
Yesterday I got a missed call from an unknown number, I was hesitant but still thought lets see who it is, may be someone known.
But the receiver voice was not familiar and was much impatient to know who I was even though I told him that it was you who had given a missed call so introduce yourself first.
But he was not ready to disclose his identity but was eager to know who I was, I straight away disconnected the call and added the number to the block list.
It was my stupidity to call back on the unknown number, will never do that ever again.
Do you? if yes don't ever not sure who it could be on the other end.

I never call back...in fact any a times I even don't pick up the calls received by unknown number! Today we are getting many unwanted calls and some are even coming from outside India, I heard that people are loosing their balance money if they are attending such numbers! Thanks dear @kavinitu! Actually I also never return or pick up calls, but sometimes I am worried that ain't it from someone close who must be an emergency and needs me. I know that is weird thinking but you know how our mind is its always confusing you. Yeah I also have heard of the balance being taken away, why are people upto such wrong things

I used to but I don't anymore. If the person does not leave a message then he doesn't deserve a call back. If they want me to call back, they should leave their name and the reason for calling if they don't know me.

I only call back of they leave a message. Now a days all my phone recieves is scammers afterwards i block them. But somehow they keep calling some more

I don't. If they do not leave a message I figure it is a telemarketer. Anyone I know I have caller ID. That was a strange call you received. People identify themselves or should know who they are calling

I never call back to missed calls especially if they are unknown numbers to me. Of course, if I know the number I will return the call.
I wonder why you were given a number previously used by someone. I think it's against the phone ethics to do that. They should be giving you an unused number.

Yeah I have stopped using it because the unknown calling list was increasing They actually should have given me a number that was unused, that was really a nice number but those unwanted calls really irritated me
