I'm a criminal

I mostly eat vegetarian-vegan meals. Hubby requested I make cream of mushroom soup tonight. That's just thickened roux (gravy). The milk in our case is almond milk. I cooked chopped onion and potato and mushrooms into the gravy. I'd sauted that vegie mix in a little olive oil first. The reason why I should scoot my self to jail? I also poured in a little oyster sauce into the gravy. Oh Lordy. Not the essence of squishy sea creatures? Such mutilation. Yup. I admit it. I did it. And happily ate a couple ginger heart shaped cookies afterwards. I'm pretty far gone on being a criminal.

My husband has to have some form of meat or he can't make it through the day. He would probably like what you made though

@cintol My hubby got pretty sick before he was checked out. I'm not at all good with docs. I'd rather attempt to fix my problems and not see the inside of a medical clinic if I can at all avoid it.

Well mine says there is nothing wrong with him and refuses to see doctors for anything. He actually has always been pretty healthy and says he only gets sick when he goes to the doc so we will never know what he has!

For shame ! Last night we were with friends who are now completely vegan . . . .they were pretty strict about what they were eating when we were all having dinner - not even a dab of butter was ok with them. Oh yah, they would scream about the oyster sauce!
