It looks pretty, but ice is dangerous.
The trucks have been out scraping ice off the roads this morning. As soon as it was light, I could see cars the ice car wheels spit out as they drove past. It might not have seemed slower to the natural eye, but when compared to the usual speed of traffic, it was discernibly slower.
When I saw a truck go past scraping off a layer of ice this morning, I was glad I didn't go to the pool.
The rain has finally stopped. It is just at freezing out there - 32 F. The streets are wet and the trees are glazed in ice. It's supposed to warm up a little bit, not much. Hopefully it will be enough to dry everything up so it doesn't turn to more ice.
I do plan on being in the pool tomorrow.

I've been enjoying an unseasonably warm spring week here in Florida....temps have been in the mid-80s, but the humidity has been very low, making it feel wonderful outside in the beautiful sunshine. I hope you stay warm!

@just4him Yes we are in Texas but up near the top. We are only about 20 min from the Oklahoma border so we get ice storms. Our little trees have been frozen (literally) for 3 days now. I hope they survive and today is another day of rain.

That picture of ice thawing is beautiful. But I know, it is so dangerous to driven when the roads are slippery though.
Here , it was sunny Saturday and Sunday. Monday was rainy until today, beforre 10:00 a.m. . Now, it's very sunny. Thank God for the sun.

No, we're not. It was dangerous yesterday. Schools were canceled, and the city buses didn't run either.

Ice is the worst! I'm glad you stayed home and were wise enough not to venture out in it. You know, I'm sure, how my weather is. Today we have some fluffy white clouds and a bit of a breeze. The rest of the week should be nothing but blue skies and sunshine. We are going to drive our friend's daughter to the airport tomorrow, so she won't have to use Uber.

Yes, nothing as bad as ice. I would gladly have a blizzard to the ice. Today is great. Back to normal. Schools are back in session and the buses are running. Not much stops us in winter, but ice does.
I'm glad you're having beautiful weather and helping your friend so she doesn't need to use Uber. You're one of a kind. Sweet and loving.

It can be painful if you get into an accident because of it or take a bad fall from it.
