So I know it is only Tuesday, but do you ever have one of those weeks when early on, your just know you are in desperate need of a day off?? That is where I am, I already went to my Saturday and Sunday on the calendar and wrote "Do not disturb, I ain't leaving the house for nothing! You'll need a bulldozer to get me out of the house this weekend!" It is my weekend off. I am hiding under the covers and not going anywhere.
How about you? have you ever just said "Do not Disturb?" The real challenge for me will be sticking to it.

Hmmm... well, yeah, I guess I have done that before, Kim. I usually tell Pretty that if there is anything she is going to need/want she needs to tell me when I get home on my 'Friday night' because I am not getting out of bed until I get up to shower on 'Monday'! (I don't actually get weekend days off work. I usually do get two days in a row off, but most of the time I am off Monday and Tuesday.)
The few times that Pretty tried to get me out of bed after I warned her I wasn't getting up I told her if she needed something that bad, it was only two miles to a Walmart or there is a grocery store a block away from our house. She has two feet and is perfectly capable of hoofing it!
Once she yelled through my bedroom door, "You think you're pretty funny, don't you?!" I replied, "Hahaha!"

@mom210 I should certainly hope they could either walk that or ride their bikes there, Kim!
Until I was almost 17 the only ways I had to go places without begging my parents to take me was my bike, walking or on horseback.

Even in your desperation, I like your enthusiasm. Yup, had many of those. I usually have a secret technique that I use once a year too...because I am so strict disciplinarian (with me) I scratch out one day from the calendar and there are no rules on this day!. There are times when you have to pamper yourself.

@Gita17112016 you are so right, I am realizing just how short is too.

@mom210 Actually it is the sane thing to do (pamper yourself) Life is just too short to be slaving 24/7/

No I am always pretty social, but especially here in Florida, there are not a lot of things going on.

No body demands me to pay attention so life in my house is good. The hubs has his stuff and I have mine, we do share meals and talk once in a while

Well, when I want a day off or time alone, I go to the mall, buy something for myself and eat my favorite foods. Usually, that's on a Sunday. Though sometimes, I just stay at home with my hubby, just sleeping after lunch and watching videos with him. Of course, I am ready with foods for that.

when i am busy doing the grades of my students, my sister and son won't talk to me. they know i am concentrated with what i am doing; hence, an invisible 'don't disturb' is hanging on top of my head.
