Missing For a Couple of Weeks

Our daughter from Delaware, her husband and their two sons, ages 2 and 4, will be arriving tomorrow and staying with us for nearly two weeks. During that time, our local daughter and her two teenage children will be joining us over the weekends and for dinner nearly every night. We'll also be spending a lot of time in Laguna Beach ... my favorite place to be!
As a result, I know it will be very difficult for me to do very much on MyLot. I may be able to respond to a few comments, but not much more than that.
I didn't want anyone to think I had dropped off the site, so I wanted to let everyone know what is going on.
Meanwhile, I have more articles planned, based on the Brain Health class I am taking. Once I'm back, I'll share the new things I have learned about preventing dementia and taking care of our brains.
I'll look forward to being in touch again after March 6.

This is going to be a busy month for me as well, with my son's birthday and a couple of planned vacations, so my time here may be limited as well. But the nice thing is that this site will always be here waiting for us when we get back!

@DeborahDiane Wow, climbing trees! That's something you don't hear of too much anymore! Parents nowadays are so afraid to let their kids climb trees for fear of getting hurt or breaking bones. I practically lived in trees as a kid. Glad your son-in-law let his boys do it!

@DeborahDiane Getting together with families is becoming increasingly difficult in the modern world. We have two adult children and we're lucky if we spend more than a couple of weeks together as a family in an entire year!!

@WorDazza - We used to have an annual family reunion with all four of our daughters and their families when the grandkids were younger, and one of the daughters was still unmarried. Now, they are all married and have kids, and some of the grandkids are college graduates with careers and lives of their own. We see everyone for at least one week a year, but generally no more that two of the girls and their families at a time. It is too hard to get everyone together at the same time every year now. Guess I'll have to wait until the oldest granddaughters get married!
