I made the cake ....now I've got to eat it !!!

Yes, yesterday I made a coffee and walnut cake .....Mum has been saying for a few weeks now that she would really like one so as I had the time yesterday I decided to make one. I like to make my cakes from scratch ....I find cooking generally very relaxing .... So it was made...mixture divided into two tins and baking .....as I started on the coffee buttercream filling .... and some extra for the topping too ... Well, as usual I made far too much buttercream and so several dips into the bowl I had as there was plenty left. Chopping the walnuts was a giggle ...a few flew to the other side of the kitchen ... Anyway, it was made and we all enjoyed a slice whilst having a cuppa... Thing is ..... it was such a huge cake ....ah well.... just have to have another slice ....
