Cleaning out a room that is full of junk may seem impossible, but ...

When I was told that my wife would help out with the emptying of the two closets, at first I was in denial. I personally thought, this is an impossible task. I mean, when you neglect a room or a closet for months to a year and suddenly take note of the fact that there is more junk and disorder in the room than a hoarder's worst nightmare, you suddenly realize, it's do or die time. I am happy to announce today that for the first time in a year, I can find my junk. It is something that, in hind sight, is the silver lining of a very dark cloud of clutter.

@lookatdesktop That's a good idea if things are still useable.

@MALUSE , Yes and some of the junk may actually be useless. But I will be the one to decide the fate of all the JUNK.

Not. I think some of it is actually good to give to Salvation Army. I have stuff that is just not being used but that don't actually make it useless. One man's trash is another man's treasure. You know?

Actually I would prefer to upsize, build a few extra rooms on to the house and find a practical way to store all my junk. But realistically, Yea. I will be happy when it's all emptied out and I can breath easy and actually find the stuff that is left over.

That is a definite factamundo! I realize, when I see a clearing in the clutter, I actually sigh much emotional relief.
