How can you reach someone's heart?

They said there are many ways you can reach someone's heart to tell them how you feel. It could be through actions, emotion and importantly words. I am in my three years of being single and I cannot remember when was the last time I told someone how I truly feel. Maybe, it was the experiences we both went through. I do not know how to be in a relationship when I was in my first year of college (just like everybody else, I guess). All the inconsistencies through our relationship give me a hard time. After what happened, things become a mess. I suddenly close doors and feel alone. I express my thoughts through writing because I do not have the guts to say it aloud, still building my confidence and waiting for the time I could say it with all my heart. Since then, I do not know how will I reach someone's heart when it comes in loving someone.

The relationships I've had in the past and my recent one were all through online chatting or as textmates. The only exception was a college fling and that did not even progress into anything simply because I was just too busy with studies. I realized that I can hardly make any romantic connections through conventional face to face means because it's way too awkward for me. Have you tried this avenue before?

I may not have gone through online chatting or textmates. However, I tried the one that you cannot say a single word in face to face to someone especially when it comes to romantic situations. It is really hard to start the conversation.

You're still young. Time will come when you will know how to again. Just don't be in a rush and enjoy yourself and your friends.
The first time I had a boyfriend was when I already graduated in college.

Hey... I suppose that you need to wait to meet the right person... One that makes you feel spontaneous and comfortable to express yourself. It's always been a two-way thing: you can non be open to express your feelings with someone who is closed or whose attitude doesn't allow you to do so. Enjoy life and keep chatting! :)
