Does anyone add excess of ginger ?

I dont know but how many of you add excess of ginger in tea . I went to someone's place. It was a terrible experience. When my aunty came with tea for me and my mom, what the hell!!!it had excess of ginger. I could easily feel that it had a lot of ginger because for the first time in life I saw someone havimg poured excess of ginger in tea and so the taste was horrible. Have you ever had such an experience ? Have u ever heard about such things from someone? Great if you havent faced it.

In my house I was taught how to grate ginger and then add it in milk while making tea.
