Common mistake-alot

One of the biggest 'not a word' that appears in writing is "alot". Sorry but it is always "a lot". Of course how a word becomes a word is its usage so soon it probably will become a word but until then watch for it in your writing.

Ah, I feel your anger in this. Recently someone read me a cute children's book that I remember reading as a child. Turns out on one of the first page there is ALOT.
