March ( a new month begins )

United States
March 1, 2018 9:22am CST
Happy March Everyone! as our new month begins it looks like winter is sticking around awhile longer. We're in for a round of rain, gusting winds and wet snow tonight and into tomorrow. Some are calling it a Nor'easter but only time will tell. After such a beautiful day yesterday we're back on the weather roller coaster. My daughter went to work and I'm hoping she gets home tonight before the weather changes. Even though she's a grown adult I worry about her driving when the weather is bad. I'm doing my usual tiding up this morning and I'm listening to the Rachel Ray show in the background. Peter Walsh is on and he's the organizing guru and giving tips on how to organize. As I unload the dishwasher and put everything away I know I need to re-organize my cabinets and drawers and get rid of stuff we hardly ever use. I'm made some progress but I got sidetracked and never finished the project. I'm vowing to get on the ball with spring cleaning this year and purge everything we never use. My bedroom closet is still only half done and I'm giving up valuable space for clutter. Nothing exciting going on here today but I'm sure the day will fly by like all the other ones have. Hopefully I can catch up here since I wasn't around much yesterday.

Decluttering is such a feeling of rebirth. The only thing that needs decluttering at home is antique furniture stored in our basement. My brother knows a dealer, so we must use him as soon as we get home. Hope the storm isn't bad. It was balmy in CT this week and here, too.

Our beautiful yesterday is now changing back to winter but spring will be here soon. Good luck with your antiques when you get back to CT

It's starting to look ominous outside and they are predicting very high winds

@Marilynda1225 Don't go out unless you need to. I just heard they got a lot of snow on the east coast somewhere - 24" in 24 hours. Lots of snow. March is coming in like a lion in some places.

I love it when things go the way we want them too... we are in for snow and rain and I am not happy. I did get to the Y today for some exercise...hope to be there tomorrow too...weather allowing.

My boyfriend headed to his parents house tonight. They live in Maryland so he is getting to avoid this 15 inches of snow they are predicting.

For us the Noreaster is primarily going to be a wind storm! Big winds..I don't think any snow and minimal rain.

There is so much to do and not always enough time to get all of these things accomplished. We are ready to empty out the seasonal clutter too @Marilynda1225

Decluttering is ongoing isn't it? I bought a nice pair of slacks at an op shop while I was away and now it's my plan to throw something out. That's one of my new rules. If I buy a piece of clothing I have to donate/toss a piece.

Well, nothing happy about March so far. I know about that weather. But then again, the forecasters never seem to get the weather just right. As for cleaning things out, well, I will be getting to that soon. I am getting tiered of things being the way they are around here. I have clutter and junk.
