low key Sunday

The stepkids went back to their mom's today, and I'm feeling very tired. My toddler is taking a late nap and my youngest daughter is watching Matilda on TV. The other adults will be home soon (one is still at work, and the other is returning from dropping off the stepkids). I'm making "Italian quesadillas" for dinner, which is like a quesadilla made with pizza ingredients in tortillas. I'm going to cook up some Italian sausage soon, plus I have sauce and mozzarella cheese and sliced olives. I'd love a shower and to change into fuzzy pajamas and slippers soon (I actually changed out of my pajamas hours ago and haven't worn them all day long, despite the photo above ). I didn't get a lot accomplished today, but maybe tomorrow will be different.

They're not Italian at all, just what they've been nicknamed because of the Italian sausage (which must be called something else in Italy... it's seasoned with fennel seed and basil). They're probably more like "pizza quesadillas". Absolutely not authentic at all, but my family liked them and they were easy to make.
@spiderdust We have sausages seasoned with fennel seeds, none with basil. The one with fennel seeds is called luganegheta. You surely know that queso means cheese in Spanish, but Italians call the cheese "formaggio", so no pizza quesadillas, at most "pizza al formaggio e salsiccia".
